There is only one thing the world needs less than Iranian nuclear capability and that is yet another Jane Austen mini-series from the BBC, especially when the adaptation in question is Emma, the Somerset spinster's dreariest novel featuring her least attractive heroine. It seems to me that someone should play matchmaker between star-crossed TV producers and deserving writers whose works remain sadly under-filmed, such as Julian Maclaren Ross, Norman Collins, Delmore Schwartz and perhaps Lloyd Mintern, even if their characters aren't quite genteel.
Perhaps?

Yes, perhaps! Have you ever considered the problems inherent in casting a TV adaptation of Lloyd Mintern novel?

Have I ever considered? I? How can these "problems inherent" possibly be MY problem? I can't be the cause of problems and the solution to them also! Can I? It seems to ME that Lloyd Mintern's 870 page, epic episodic novel THE BLUE SEDAN would be an excellent TV mini-series. But then again, who am I?

A perfect fit for Bollywood?
