My computer - a grape colored iMac - is equipped with Internet Explorer version 5.0.
So, after digesting this important selection of my personal hardware and software usership habits, can some engineering brain invested with the relevant particles of data wisdom perhaps explain what powerful forcefields of blogging service programming prevent me from posting comments on Blogger and Blogspot sites?
I fully comprehend that my edition of IE is quite ancient, and that I really ought to have updated to OSX last year or whenever it was, but I absolutely refuse to endure all the tedious downloading and disc inserting involved in such a technical operation. Frankly, I'd rather just buy a new computer next year.
Please refrain from including the ugly phrase "buy a P.C instead" in your solution.

The problem could be in that "grape colored" part.

Their may possibly be elements of truth in your diagnosis, Dr Squub.

Did you try another browser? Like Safari? Do you have Safari? Must you have OS X to use Safari? So maybe your particular Mac doesn't have Safari? The more I look at the word Safari the more it looks foreign. Aren't foreigners funny? They try to eat sushi with a knife and fork? Don't they know we eat sushi with a spoon in America? What about Mozilla? Aren't dinosaurs scary? I apologize profusely for this unnecessary comment?

Try Mozilla (http://www.mozilla.org/download.html#os9). Netscape is another free possibility, but it uses the same basic brainpower as Mozilla.
You don't have to go over to the Dark Side yet.

i have heard that something called firefox is very good. the person who told me is german, so i don't know if i trust him. i have seen him look at people in a certain way. you know which way i am talking about? the way you look at someone when you want to take their soul from them. that way. but he said firefox is good.

I use Firefox. It's a version of Mozilla that's available for OS X or The Dark Platform. It's _very_ good.
But it does require dealing with a couple of OS X CDs (looks like a mathematical formula, doesn't it?).
Anyway, I'm not German, so you don't see my shifty demeanor.

Jan,
I downloaded mozilla for system 9 from the link you gave me and it .... worked! It actually works. Now, of course, I won't have any time for commenting on others blogs, but at least I know I can!
Thank you so much.
