I am currently exiled to Saint Augustine where I am enduring the annual four-day History Channel viewing marathon that sometimes also called "visiting my parents."
Yesterday we enjoyed a short hiatus from watching endless documentaries about the Third Reich by witnessing a disappointing Russian team get trounced by Spain in the semi-finals of Euro 2008.
Today we went fishing in the sort of antennae-festooned boat where the crew strap you into a swiveling seat in case you hook into a leviathan of the deep who takes umbrage about mistaking a chunk of silvery metal for a real meal. Fortunately, I did not.
Suffice it to say, I am far too concerned about getting sunburned to actively engage my brain at the moment, so the posts that appear here will probably be of a vaguely factual nature. Rather like this one, in fact.

Well, young fellow m'lad, you would do well to reflect that it was the sacrifices of your parents and grandparents against the third reich that give you the luxury of watching endless documentaries on the history channel about western civilisation's defeat of, er, the third reich.
Killing fish for fun is bad.

Cool it, Maroon. The young fellow needs encouragement, not this kind of stern parental guidance that can only alienate him. And besides, he seems rather too reflective, if you ask me.
